The short version

PrevenTrak is an educational tool for thinking about prevention. Everything you enter belongs to you, only you can read it, you can download all of it at any time, and you can delete it permanently. We do not sell it and we do not share it for advertising.

What PrevenTrak is not

It is not a diagnosis, not a treatment plan, and not a medical record. It does not replace your clinician, and nothing it shows you should be acted on without talking to one. It is not an emergency service — if something is wrong right now, contact your doctor or your local emergency number.

The scores come from published equations applied to what you have entered. If what you entered is wrong or incomplete, the scores will be too, and the app will generally say so rather than fill the gap with a guess.

What we hold

The account details you sign up with, the answers you give about your health, the measurements you log, and any lab reports you upload. That is all of it. There is no tracking pixel, no advertising identifier and no third-party analytics following you around.

Who can see it

You. Your records are stored with per-row database policies that check your user identity on every read and every write, so one account cannot reach another account’s data. Uploaded files are held in per-user folders under the same rule.

Our hosting and database provider stores the data on our behalf, and staff there have the access any database operator technically has. We do not read your record to market to you, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.

Lab reports and the reader

When you upload a lab report, the file is sent to an AI service that reads the values off it and returns only the analytes this app uses. Nothing it returns is saved until you have looked at it and confirmed it — a misread decimal point should be caught by the one person who can recognise their own results.

Do not upload documents that contain other people’s information, and remember that the report itself is stored until you delete it.

Taking it with you, and leaving

Your account page has a download that gives you one file containing your profile, check-ins, labs, screenings, vaccines and current summary.

Deleting your account on the same page is a real delete, not a hidden flag: every row in every table, every file you uploaded, and the login itself. It cannot be undone, so download first if you want a copy.

A note on medical privacy law

PrevenTrak is a consumer tool you use directly, not a service provided through a clinic, so the protections that apply to records held by your doctor’s office generally do not apply here in the same way. That is a real difference and worth knowing before you put your results in.
